As a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, Art draws upon his traditional Catholic upbringing, combined with his extensive studies in the Eastern philosophies of Taoism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, to spiritually connect with people from every background and, through the language of their religious and cultural experience, help them to understand the universal laws of spirituality to help bring them to a place of physical and emotional well being.Founding Board Member
Ken Bevers has 15 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including 9 years as a Certified Public Accountant. In his current role of Director of Finance for Catholic Charities of Kansas City - St. Joseph - he serves on the executive team and manages the agency’s $10 million dollar budget.Founding Board Member
Christie Dade has over 25 years of leadership experience across the for-profit and non-profit sectors, she combines strategic insight with a compassionate, community-focused perspective. Her career highlights include director of affordable housing, multi-million dollar construction project management,volunteer coordination and social service program management, all supported by her background in engineering and business administration. A dedicated advocate, she has served on numerous national and local boards, contributing thoughtful decision-making to every mission she supports.Founding Board Member
A retired software developer, wife of over 25 years, and mother of two, Jeni has over 10 years experience with non-profit organizations as an employee and volunteer. She sees the benefits of mindfulness in her daily life and hopes to help individuals manage their trials through Alicia’s Angels’ mindfulness coaching.Founding Board Member
Over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and social service sector providing both direct service delivery as well as leadership and guidance to agencies so that they can better serve their community. Ms. Jones' roles and responsibilities have included chief operating officer, adjunct professor, quality assurance and training manager, social worker, and director of development. In addition Ms Jones has served on various boards of directors in focus areas of affordable housing, foster care, and veterans. She holds an undergraduate degree in social work and a master's degree in organizational development.
